The 2021 Istar Cabernet Franc is one of those wines that absolutely fuse your senses in an overpowering way in one. The color is dark, but vibrant, with flashes of violet and purple and ruby. Aromas of herbs, tobacco, black fruit, mushroom, dark cocoa pop from the glass. The palate explodes with lovely, velvety layers of chocolate, plum, and wild blueberry, sitting beautifully amidst strong and luscious tannins. And then the silky finish long finish.
