Here, every bottle is personally selected for its character, origin, and the people who craft it. Our wines come from small, independent, and family-owned wineries that work close to nature, producing limited series full of soul and identity.

Meet the Founder

I’m Maria – an economist by education, a writer by vocation, and a passionate explorer by heart.
After 20 years in Bulgaria’s Ministry of Finance, I turned a new page in my life – one that combines knowledge, creativity, and discovery.

My first project, the book “Fiscal Policy: A Cookbook” (fiscalcookbook.com), translates complex economic ideas into accessible, human language. It’s a reflection on how transparency and good governance can be both practical and inspiring.

Today, with BG Wine House, I continue that same mission — but through another universal language: the taste of wine. I other words, when I like something, I want to know how it’s made.
